Life doesn't get much more exciting than this.....have just purchased more wool for my next knitted piece of work. Most exciting things that happen in my day are now knitting and checking my emails, so don't forget to e-mail me!

Good news! Someone did call this morning!

It was my mum, it was 6am....I consider myself a morning person, but could barely form words at that hour....but then again, beggars can't be choosers.

Another day of waiting around for the telephone to ring in London. On the bright side, the sun came out....on the down side, no telephone calls. So I continue to wait....

Thinking about the Edinburgh Comedy Festival, apparently takes place late July. Anyone interested??

AUSTRALIAN DAY IN LONDON

Ventured out on Saturday afternoon to celebrate(?) Australia Day with a couple of Queenslanders I met in Vancouver. Spent the afternoon in the pub before venturing to the Slug and Lettuce then onto a night club. Was a good evening!! Lucky jeans....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY 2ND BIRTHDAY LO LO!! Hopefully the birthday present has already arrived in Vancouver...

For all of those of you interested - I finished my scarf. Casting off really isn't that scary!!

France??...I think I could cope with a trip to France...

JAPAN

Quiet night before I left for Japan. Flight was okay, Jacqui met me at the airport. We checked into the hotel, then went for dinner - great Japanese food, before making our way to karoke. Little bit of Billy Joel's Uptown Girl amongst other classic tunes were sung. Way too funny. Ended up catching a cab back to the hotel around 4am, before getting up at 8am. Lets just say - it was a looooooong flight to London.

Little sun out today - wonder how long that will last....

Waiting for Edwina to finish work at Circular Quay.

Feeling its going to be a big, big night, reliving that Vancouver and Banff experience!!

Help!!

Sydney

Currently in a suburb in Sydney. Have no idea where I am really. Catching a train down town to meet Edwina for lunch, and of course, with my luck with transport, there has been a delay. Apparently some guy on top of the train. Found my way to the library to waste some time! Hopefully I won't have to sleep on this chair here, unlike Montreal....

Must say thank you to everyone for Tuesday night - Ally, Ange, Arthur, Blair, Brett (&friend), Danielle, Jen (luv you!), Kerri, Lisa, Nicole, Rob, Simon, and of course my beautiful Tanya. Had fun, topped of by a little Taberat at the end of the evening!!

Leaving for London on Sunday morning, but still have my phone until then - enjoying all those amusing messages I have received in the past few days - especially Kerri!

Will hopefully update again in the next few days...

I love feeling like this in the mornings...don't know why I didn't get up every morning for the past five weeks to go to gym. Only managed once or twice a week and instead trained after work. Lucky for me the 10am hunger pains haven't started yet!

Anyone want to come over this afternoon to help me pack?? Especially someone with moderate to expert packing skills - have a lot of things to go into a very confined area.

Perhaps I'll just leave it until tomorrow morning.....just before I leave for the airport....because I know how great I'll be feeling tomorrow morning after tonight!!

Goodnight out Saturday night....still feeling the effects...

Lucky jeans??

Countdown begins!

Only four more sleeps left in Melbourne. As much as I know I am ready to go, I'm also suffering from butterflies in my stomach. Back to the UK is a big thing for me - so many decisions are going to be needed to be made in not much time....

I have a few options of what I want to do with my life for the next few years, just not sure which are the best for me. I do know that one of my main goals is to make it back to Vancouver for Christmas this year.

Perhaps I should stop stressing and enjoy what time I have left in Australia...

Espy beer garden

As this is probably my last weekend in Melbourne for a while, thinking about Sunday afternoon in the Espy beer garden. Haven't even looked up the weather forecast, but as it is summer, then I should be able to improve on my freckles!!

Then again, it is Melbourne, might be wise to bring an umbrella...

What is the cut off point where people stop wishing each other Happy New Year??

Happy belated birthday Saco. 27? SAME!!

There is the likely chance that I will be leaving Melbourne next week. That means the pressure is on to catch up with everyone, not to mention doing all the things I promised myself I would do when I arrived back here. Can already tick off Veggie Bar, Albert Park Lake, Espy beer garden, Elwood beach, The Hide Out, Toppos and Wheelers (I like the balcony!).

Guess the next few days will be a little hectic if I do decide to leave a week early. The worst part of it will be packing my case....

And I would like to see a little more sunshine before I leave!

BANANA...

Only 10am, but as I went to gym this morning, I am now starving. Wonder what the banana I left at home is doing??

The Dilema

Only a small dilema - when do I return to the UK. Not sure if I'll have any work for next week, thus considering leaving a week early. My position at the RACV is due to finish at the end of this week. Not the most exciting job in the world, but it is cash inflow at the moment, rather than outflow!

May head up to Canberra for a few days, then Sydney and fly out from there. Ahhh, who knows, but I guess there are more horrible problems in the world! (Such as me actually finishing my scarf before I leave here - still don't know how to cast off!!).

Dinner tonight with my parents. Opted against the suggested Fasta Pasta, and have decided to go either Automatic or Chinese. Wouldn't mind some Pad Thai though.....

Nobody puts baby in a corner

See Tan, I'm not afraid to admit that I love Mr Swayze!

And besides, you're the one with the spaghetti arms!!

I've just been informed by a good friend of mine that I have way too much time on my hands. Well, I think a few Tanya stories wouldn't go astray in this blog. Perhaps mentioning things such as red hats, dropped (not to mention Reduced to Clear!) birthday cakes, posing with ponies at a certain Christmas party, getting burnt on hammocks, setting up "Tanya's bar" in the office to compete against Snooky's Bar etc. etc. May just put her in her place!!

The Adventure...

Lets begin!!

Not sure if this will work. Have never used HTML before, so just reading instructions and experimenting. Guess I should be doing some work...

Wonder why a heading isn't working, wonder why I am sitting here working on my new blog rather than actually concerntrating on getting this work completed. Should be out of here by 2pm, then gym, then perhaps up to the library to continue playing with my new, long-awaited blog!
