Was reminded this morning that it was exactly 1 year ago to the day that I left England – and what a evening that was!! Seems like only yesterday, but at the same time a lifetime ago… Think I could be suffering from Hayfever today – have only been suffering the effects of hayfever since I started living in England. My nose is extremely itchy – looked up on the internet some folklore explanations…. “An itch in the nose is, in the Highlands, considered the precursor of a stranger or letter. Ibid.. In Yorkshire it is sensibly said that the sufferer is to be kissed, cursed, or blessed.” Wonder which category I fall into…. |
