The mayor of Vancouver is currently visiting Melbourne. Read in the paper and heard on the radio this morning Cr Campbell talking about pan-handlers (beggars) in Melbourne. Was an interesting observation to make as I have never noticed Melbourne as having a problem with people begging. While living in Vancouver I remember being asked every morning by at least four people in the 10 minute walk to the station for change. That said, I still miss Vancouver.... Friend who just went into labour an hour or so ago with her first child is complaining that the penicillin shot she just got in her arm was very painful. I don’t think she truly knows what she’s in for over the next few hours…. |
